Thoughts for my sick little Jakie

You spent the Day home sick today with me Jake.  I spent my  day checking your temperature, offering you food and kissing your forehead.   You're such a trooper! Half of the day you were like a normal healthy little boy and the other you were quiet and clingy and slightly lethargic.  That's always had daddy and I know that you're not feeling well. Any time that you're not treating everything around you like a parkour course we know something is up:). Turns out we both have strep:(. I was bummed for you to be sick but I actually enjoyed my day with you.  I miss my sweet boy when he's at school.  I was looking at pictures of you last night as a small little boyand infant and I just couldn't help but feel such a strong love for you.  You make me smile, you make me laugh, And most of all you make me #your mom :-) I hope you get better  soon sweetie!

Happy 60th Birthday Grandma

Grandma's birthday dinner at Chuck- A-Rama was a blast :-). Grandma got to use her senior citizen discount for the first time.  Happy birthday grandma we love you!

Lisa Visits For A Week:

Jake is such a great big brother!  I wouldn't leave mikey alone for long but jake is great for about a 10 minute showers worth of babysitting help or holding mike while momma gets dinner started. 

Mike LOVES to rub his gums all over chins, cheeks and jaw bones.  It's funny when he gets on there tight.  The sounds are the best part!

Ricky's First Day Of Pre School

Well it's finally here!  Ricky officially starts his first day of preschool :-). It seems To have gone so fast.  It would have been an awful moment to drop him off if he were scared or crying But not my Ricky! He was so excited.  I told him over and over what to expect, not to be afraid, and be such a good boy.  I went in to take this picture and say hi to the teacher and Ricky looked at me, smiled, And said " mom, It's okay. Go on home I'll be done in a little while."  He's a chip off of his big brother block For sure. Jake was exactly the same way :-)

 See, he's right at home. No shoes :-).  His teacher Miss Kate said that he made lots of friends. That a boy Ricky!  Way to be confident.

 This is a picture from yesterday when I was asking what he would do if he wants his teacher to listen to him while she's busy. Oh boy, I'm in trouble!  Look out ladies :-)

Mommy/Ricky Time About To Be Interrupted

Ricky and I sat on the floor in my bedroom Friday afternoon talking about what it would be like when he goes to preschool. He is so super excited :-) I asked him if he would be sad or scared and he said, no way!  It took about 3 Second after saying that for him to think about what I had just asked him.  I watched him get quiet for a quick moment and then key came over to love his mommy.  He gave me a hug and a kiss and told me "don't be sad mommy it's just for a little bit of time."  I had my phone in my hand so he suggested that we take a picture together so that if I was lonely I could just look at his picture.  It's definitely not the same as having Ricky with me but it really actually does make it a little easier to let him go.  I don't have any make up on and sure wasn't "picture ready", but I sure am glad he snapped a few candids with him. These pictures really captured is sweet funny little personality.  We threw in a few of Mikey in there too because it was just so darn cute :-).  Looks like it's going to be mommy and Mikey time now.  We will both this Ricky around while he's gone at preschool.
