Snapshots

E is for Elephant!  I just love pre-school for Ricky:)
I don't know why but I just love this photo of the little guy:)
Mikey was so cute in his little sun hat at the game today.
Ricky and I froze our rears off this Saturday while Jacob played flag football.  Daddy had to take Mikey to the van to keep the little guy warm.
Mikey's first haircut!!  I was sad to cut it but it really was time:)
Visiting Grandpa Shumway just to say hello.
Mikey is sitting up now!!  He even goes back on his knees/heels.
Such a rare quiet moment when both boys are not crying, whining or bugging eachother.
Mission Reunion 2013!!  It was so good to see the Pacini's and a few other familiar faces again!
I love the way his sweet face looked while Jakie got some shut eye during conference:)
Matching Jammie's for the boys were just one of the fun things the boys got at grandmas house during a conference weekend sleepover.
Muscle man!!

Is there any question where these boys came from?

These are photos of dad as a kid that mom has had on her refrigerator for about a year now. Every time I pass them I'm amazed at how much they look like Jacob and Ricky.  Dad must've been about eight in the picture below And somewhere around four in the picture below that. When I look at them I see Jacob and Ricky. The widows peak, the nose, the fees, the eyes, everything!   (Strangely enough, ricky also reminds me of Uncle Jonny:)
I'm going to add some pictures of the boys in between them so we can compare faces since they Where taken right around the same ages that the boys are right now.  Seriously, it blows me away!

Snapshots

The incredibly fierce Team Lightening!! Also featuring Coach Olsen :-) Ricky managed to score 6 goals before the coach pulled him :-). He's a beast!

Le Sorelle Della Missione DI Roma 99-01
It was so good to get together with a few of the sisters from my mission! I so miss these girls And it was great to see Sister Pacini! Rick said he thinks That she looks like Jamie Lee Curtis.… My verdict is that I totally agree.Sarelle:  Curtis, me, Robinson, Grimcy, Mantyla & Sister Pacini. Also there, not pictured above, but pictured below: Scheffield, Chelsea, Brittany Paccini, Jamie Paccini, Mika Paccini.

Ricky runs in every single Sunday morning to show me what a "handsome boy he is".  He won't leave until I say those exact words:)
My two sweet Sunday boys :-) I love seeing them in a shirt and tie (They both need haircuts though :-)
Oh Mikey, Dave it's just how it has to be
:(. You can't nurse every minute of every day. Mommy does actually have to put you down occasionally.
Well I did it! I joined CrossFit and I'm going to be a whole new woman :-) I hope I will anyway!   I'm sharing the info on my Other blog getting fit how I'm doing it.  That's me on the bottom right corner. These are the ladies that I am struggling through it with every afternoon from 2 to 230 or 230 to 3.
Mikey had to wear Ricky's angry bird hooded blanket to stay warm during Ricky's Soccer practice and it looked so funny I had to snap a picture.  He looks like it ate him above and like a Jedi below:)

Friday Night At The State Fair

Of coarse they wanted to stop at the race cars :-). Men!!
Jacob got chosen to participate in a duck race. His duck was named Dale Earnhardt Junior:)
Unfortunately, Dale lost to his neighbor Danica Patrick duck.   Apparently, everyone says that's the only way Danica could ever beat Dale :-)
Ricky had had it! He nursed for a bit and was out for the rest of the night. I have the only kids I know of that can sleep through rodeos and fairs with animals squealing in their ears.   I guess home is  a good place to practice blocking out the barnyard noises :-)
Goats and sheep, they are always the very favorite of the bunch.
This guys head came as high as my shoulders. Jake wanted to look at him dead in the eye (about 3 inches from his head) but when he rammed the gate Jakie thought twice.
3295 pounds. That's a lot of bull!!!  And even more bull S***!  Just kidding. It's only family that sees this :-)
Though they tried, they couldn't talk me into getting any closer. Jake and Daddy braved getting closer to this gigantic animal and thrilled in the fact that he was only bound by a tiny rope.  He was castrated so he probably wasn't going to do anything but I didn't want to make the headline news the next day as the only person killed by a castrated bull in the last century.   With my luck, that's exactly what would've happened :-)

Ricky loves a variety of things that he saw during the fair. Among the favorite was a 500 pound sow's bottom, The enormous 3295 pound bulls nostrils and of course, the teeny tiny piggies that  squealed and squealed and squealed.  The very favorite of all time was when one of the sheep's pooped on one of the passers by. That made him laugh for about 10 minutes straight :-)
Piggies piggies piggies piggies piggies!  Oh how the little boys loved the piggies. They wanted to bring one home as a pet but since Loki already doesn't get enough attention we decided to say NO! They will think it's later :-)
Jakie's face in the push needles. Actually, both are his faces.
Ricky space in the push needles.
Ricky's face and hands in the push needles.
Jake has just been learning how to play chess so this was a  particularly fun exibit
These boys love when grandma comes to the fair. She always takes time to explain the exibits and show them the funnest things!  They know if they've been good boys that grandma will usually get them a fun thing to take home at the end. Last year they got a light-up Jedi sword.  This year they got little light up slingshots that shoot light-up floaters into the air and slowly fluttered back down.  The boys were beyond thrilled!

Well, we didn't get to ride the rides this year since we got there so late but it was definitely a fun time to be out with family :-). Next year I think will definitely get some dipped funnel cake and give the boys a few bucks to do the rides of their choice.  It gives them something to look to forward to for next year.

A tender moment during my day

The only thing better than Having a perfect child is having a child that says they're sorry with sincerity and without coercion :-) I have three.
Mom + Rick + Jake + Ricky + Mikey = family (And of course love). I'm glad Jake can see that even at the tender age of eight.

It's That Time Of Year!!

Go Packers!! Rick hates that there is no Steelers team in Jake's flag football league but any team with my boy on it is my favorite team:)
Here is how we killed time waiting for Jacob to finish his practice.
And this ...
It was such a beautiful afternoon
And We stared at this:
When Jake was all done we headed over to the soccer field and did it all over again for Ricky. You could not find any more enthusiastic soccer player!
Ricky just love hearing what drills He will be doing when listening to Coach Olsen.
One of Ricky's favorite parts of the game is screaming go team lightening!
Here's what we were looking like on the sidelines during Ricky's game…
