Chillin at the pumpkin patch.

We took a trip up to Everett/Snohomish county and got to see a huge pumpkin patch. It is a huge farm that had a corn maze and animal petting area that pops up in the fall. It was a really beautiful day and we loved the fall colors everywhere! Makes me want some pie!

Talk about a couple of turkeys!!

We recently went to the state fare in September and lets see if you can tell who is more excited about it. Rick loved to play with Jakie and show him the baby animals.

Deception Pass

We took a family trip a few times this summer to go see Deception Pass. It is a beautiful pass with large islands on either side of a huge bridge that connects two sides of a mountain. The tides churn and rage as they meet here and make for some pretty spectacular views. It was a fun Saturday outing for us to do together as a family.

I thought I would show our little monkey in action. Here is Jakie deep in thought about which of his thomas trains he would like to play with today. He is nuts over Thomas Train and I feel it safe to say that he thinks that Emily is the prettiest of all of the trians. Safe because that is what he says. You thomas lovers know what I am talking about.

Jakie & Katie

We finally figured this thing out!! Just wait!
We will now blogg more often. New postings
comming soon! Here is a cute picture I found
of Jakie just to get us started. This one is out
here in honor of Auntie Katies Visit!

Sorry we havn't kept up the site!

Okay, so I finally got the hang of this thing and now vow to keep it up as we go along. There is so much going on so we will post as often as possible. I think I will even try to upload some pictures of Jakie onto a separate page for those that have not seen him in a while.
Rick and I are doing great! Rick is knee deep in his quarter at UW and now interviewing for Fellowships for the next year or two. We hope to have news on one or a few offers by Christmas at the latest. I was just hired about 1 month ago at Macceroni Grill in town here and am doing great. I get to chat peoples ear off for a few hours each evening and I am enjoying it. I look forward to Summer and my retirement, but I am enjoying the time I have.

Jake is doing great enjoying Aunt Kaitie that came to visit and he is loving the extra huggs and kisses as usual. He is comming up on his 3rd B-Day and just hit his terrible twos. He is a sweet little one but full of energy, which is good, as he keeps me on my toes.

We are all looking forward to Halloween and Jakies opportunity to be a Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, courtesy of Aunt Katies generous gift of the costume. We will of course post pics of that of course and any other fun snapshots or family doings we have along the way.  We miss you all!! Love YA!

Here we are at the Mariners-Orioles game. Jake is usually pretty good for the most part when it comes to sitting and watching, but we generally have to sit a few seats apart so that he has some room to run! His favorite Mariner is definitely Ichiro, but close seconds are Sexton and Batista...
